As of January 1, 2002, SEG has expanded its investment in ASIKOS by 50 % to 100 %. In the SEG group, ASIKOS Strahlmittel is responsible for the blasting abrasives and minerals business area. The blasting abrasives production facility in Herne is operated by ASIKOS already since 1972. This year, ASIKOS has also taken over the production facility of SEG in Duisburg. More than three decades of experience in the production and marketing of mineral and metal blasting abrasives guarantee customers competent and individual advice for the selection of suitable products for a wide range of applications. ASIKOS offers tailor-made logistics concepts for the supply and recycling of blasting materials. Furthermore, ASIKOS is a major supplier of abrasive materials for the water jet cutting technology. Since 1996, the product range also includes synthetic and natural colour minerals for the concrete brick and architectural concrete industries.
