As an approved building material, granulated boiler slag can be used as a mineral aggregate with grain sizes of 0 - 5 and 0 - 4 in ready-mixed concrete and for concrete goods and precast concrete parts. Due to its physical and chemical properties, the material can be used just like any natural mineral aggregate.
The quality of the material is enhanced by impact crushing and subsequent magnetic separation. This relieves the residual stress and removes the iron from the material.
The material is therefore excellently suited as a facing material for paving stones and slabs because very attractive optical effects can be achieved with the “black gems”.
