Since 1992, Kremer Baustoffe and Transporte (building materials and transport) has been owned
50 % by SEG and 50 % by SCHWENK Zement, Ulm, Germany. Kremer markets almost exclusively certified coal fly ash along with some bottom ash in Southern and Eastern Germany. Most of the coal fly ash is produced by the Staudinger, Heilbronn and Altbach power plants. Coal fly ash from the Czech Republic is delivered by the power plants Ledvice, Litvinov and Sokolov to the German building materials industry. Czech customers are supplied from these power plants by Bohemia Popilek, a 75 % subsidiary of Kremer. Negotiations with additional power plants are already in progress. To ensure a continuous supply to the customers, Kremer has access to silos for the intermediate storage of coal fly ash, for example in Neumarkt and Zeil.
