In May 2006, STEAG Entsorgungs-GmbH founded the 100 % subsidiary STEAG PowerMinerals in Great Britain. The company is based in Richmond in the south-west of Greater London.

STEAG PowerMinerals offers waste management and marketing of residues from coal-fired power plants, in the same way SEG does in Germany.
